Passion for Reading

When talking about my passion for reading and my reading tastes, I always say that it is largely influenced by my Dad. When I started reading, it was love at first sight and since then I have not stopped reading. Some friends say I seemed to devour books because aside from the fact that I am never without one, I also read very fast. And most of the books I read are those that my Dad has read and recommended. I guess it’s because these are the books and authors I see at home. Once I graduated from the nursery and children's books, I went on to read Bobbsey Twins; I went on to read Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys and realized I loved the mystery type books. The first fiction book from my Dad's that I read was the Godfather by Mario Puzo. And though I did not understand some of the terms, I was not hesitant about asking my aunt what they meant.
